This policy is written in compliance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018, and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).

For the purposes of data protection law, IAAPS is the controller of your personal information. This means we decide how and why your data is used.
What Personal Information We Collect
- Identity data: your first name only. Full name is not required, and you may use a pseudonym if you prefer.
- Contact data: your email address and, if you choose to provide it, your WhatsApp number or mobile number.
- Membership data: your membership status and join date.
- Communication data: what you include in forms, emails, or WhatsApp messages, including your reason for contacting IAAPS and whether you are a parent, grandparent, or professional.
- Technical data: information such as IP address, browser type, and website usage data, collected anonymously where possible.
Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect or want to receive special category data. Please do not send us:
- Your full home address.
- Your children's names, dates of birth, or other identifying information about minors.
- Details of ongoing court cases, including case numbers.
- Information about your physical or mental health.
- Copies of court orders or legal documents unless we specifically ask for them.
If you send us this information, we will delete it and ask you to resend your message without the sensitive details.
How We Collect Your Information
- Directly from you: when you fill out a website form, sign up for membership, email us, or message us on WhatsApp.
- Automatically: when you browse the website, cookies and similar technologies collect technical data. More detail is in Section 7.
- Third parties: we do not buy mailing lists or receive personal data from third-party sources.

Who We Share Your Information With
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We only share your data in limited circumstances:
- Service providers such as website hosting and email newsletter providers, all bound by contracts requiring secure handling and no reuse for their own purposes.
- Legal obligations, including disclosure required by law, court order, or for the prevention of fraud or other crime.
- Payment processors such as Stripe or PayPal. We do not store your full card or bank details. Your payment will appear on your statement as "IAAPS SUPPORT".

Access to your personal data is limited to Reuben Fontaine, the founder of IAAPS, and any authorised volunteers who have a genuine business need to know it.
How Long We Keep Your Information
We only retain personal data for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.
- Contact form enquiries: up to two years after the enquiry is resolved.
- Membership data: for the duration of your membership, then deleted within 12 months of cancellation.
- Newsletter subscriptions: until you unsubscribe.
Your Legal Rights
Under data protection law, you have rights including:
- The right of access to copies of your personal information.
- The right to rectification of inaccurate or incomplete information.
- The right to erasure in certain circumstances.
- The right to restriction of processing in certain circumstances.
